1. WHAT DO I NEED..? ROPES..? HOOKS..? ..WHAT ABOUT HANGING DISTANCES?

It depends how you would like to hang your hammock. If you order a hammock and stand from us then you won't need any extra ropes or hooks or anything like that. Everything you need is there.

If you intend hanging the hammock from trees or posts then the first thing to think of is the hanging distance. We usually say that the hanging distance should be 10cm shorter than the overall length of the hammock (that is, the hammock when laid flat including the attached ropes)...this way you have a bit of 'give' when you climb in.

Hooks are best if attaching to walls or to flat/smooth surfaces (if you put a rope around a smooth post, you'll find yourself sat on the floor soon enough! Though did I mention we also sell cushions?)

2. HOW LONG DOES DELIVERY TAKE AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

For most items, we use a next day service with ANC/FEDEX , so you can expect your order within working hours on the working day after you place your order. (Orders received after 1pm will be processed on the following working day). For some smaller items we use Royalmail 1st Class.

IF THE PACKAGE LOOKS DAMAGED IN ANY WAY WHEN IT ARRIVES, ONLY SIGN FOR IT AS DAMAGED, OR DO NOT SIGN FOR IT. OR JUST SIGN FOR IT AS DAMAGED JUST TO BE SAFE ANYWAY! Otherwise you will not be able to return it.

Delivery is FREE in the UK. If you have just ordered with us but forgot to get your accessories at the same time, please email/phone us and we'll help out.

Outside of the UK we have to charge a fee, however it is not so expensive. For most desitinations we offer a fixed price service. Please see the tables below.

3. How do I return something If I am not 100% satisfied ?

If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, you can simply return your purchase to us at the following address and we will refund you in full. You have 30 days from your order date in which to notify us that you plan to return the goods.

PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE YOU RETURN SOMETHING.

Please print out THIS RETURNS FORM (pdf), and include it with any returns. The returns address is on the form. This will speed up the returns process , so you can get your alternative or refund a few days quicker. Items returned without a returns form will incur a £5 restocking fee.

ALL RETURNS MUST BE SENT BACK IN THE CONDITION THEY ARRIVED IN AND IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING! We reserve the right to refuse any Returns that are not in the original packaging.

We recommend www.interparcel.com to book a courier to return the goods or Royal Mail for smaller items. Either way, please use a trackable service.

In the extremely unlikely event that you receive a faulty item, please contact us. You may not need to return it, depending on the item. It's best to contact us first.

4. Are the hammocks ethically produced?

Yes, about 10 years ago AMAZONAS took over a struggling hammock factory in Brazil , modernised it , TRIPLED every ones wages , and swapped environmentally damaging practices for environmentally friendly practices. Most of the original staff are still working for Amazonas in Brasil.

5. Are the prices guaranteed to beat anyone elses?

Yes. If you find the same deal on any UK website for a lower price (including NEXT DAY delivery) within 7 days of placing your order, we will not only refund the difference, but we will also give you a voucher worth £19.50 to spend at www.mypashmina.co.uk.

6. Do you supply resellers or promotions companies?

Yes. If you are planning to invest at least £1000, then please contact us and we will give you our wholesale price list and terms of trade.

If you are a promotions company and want hammocks made in your design/colour and with your own label, then please contact us.

7. Who are you ?

We are HammockHeaven, part of Mypashmina UK ltd. The owners of this company are Paul King & Caroline Persson.

We have been retailing hammocks in the UK since 2003. We have also been retailing pashminas and cashmere knitwear online (www.mypashmina.co.uk) since 2001.

In February 2006 we relocated our office to Gothenburg, Sweden. (see www.hamaca.se for our Swedish website). Our distribution center is located in Nottingham, in the middle of England.

Our business is growing due to our consistently good customer service, and when you call us you will always get through to a real person. Sara, Stuart, Pernilla, Caroline or Paul.

8. How can I pay, Is it secure , and how do I know I can get my money back if something goes wrong?

The easiest and safest way to pay is with your credit card online through our secure terminal. Your card details are fully encrpted so nobody can see them (not even us).

We use Worldpay for our payment processor. They are one of the largest companies providing this service and of course their systems are secure.

You can also choose to pay with paypal which is the biggest online payment provider. If you already have a paypal account you do not even need to enter your card details.

If, in the unlikely event that your goods fail to arrive, we will refund you. You can be certain that you can get your money back because the payment providers also offer their own guarantees.

9. How should I treat the recommended maximum weight capacity of your products?

The weight recommendations are a guide. They are very much on the safe side. For example, we often sit 3-4 adults in one of the family hammocks with a weight recommendation of 150kg.

All of our Amazonas hammocks have been tested to strict German TUV safety standards. They are good quality items and will not break easily. If anything does break within 6 months of your puchase, we will replace it without hassle or extra charge.

10. Will the weather be nice enough to buy a hammock?

We find that on hot and sunny days more people buy hammocks. This isn't surprising, but is slightly illogical. A hammock will last you for a good number of years.
