Which hammock should I choose?
There are so many hammocks to choose between, it could be hard to decide!
Therefore, you should think of how you are going to use the hammock. Do you want it indoors? Outdoors?
If you want to have it indoors it could be a good idea to measure the room first. If you want to have a hanging chair indoors you should check that the ceiling is stable enough for fixing it.
If you want to have the hammock outdoors in the garden it could be a good idea to find out how and where you should hang it. We recommend the accessories and stands that we sell. They have carabeena hooks so you can quickly remove the hammock if it would start to rain or if you want to take it with you.
If you don't want to remove it when it rains you could choose to have a weather proof hammock instead. We have got the Banana, Aruba and Mautius hammocks. Or you could buy a hammock sock, that will protect hammocks without spreader bars.
Do you want the hammock for yourself? Or to be used by family and friends? We recommend the single or double size if its just for one person, and the family size for several people or for a person that wants extra comfort.
Should I have a hammock with or without spreader bars?
We have two types of hammocks - the traditional Brazilian style and the European style with spreader bars. What's best for you depends on your taste. We would say that the hammock with spreader bars is a better "beginner" hammock for a person that is perhaps a bit older. It is easier to get in and out of than the Brazilian style, and it looks nice as it's open all the time.
The traditional Brazilian style is ergonomic, cosy and it's the kind that is traditionally used in South America as beds.
They are so big that you can lay cross ways on the larger ones. We think that the Brazilian hammock is a better hammock, but some say it feels like laying in a cocoon.
