Leather

We use genuine bridle leather and carefully select each hide for our bags. Using traditional methods, the leather is vegetable tanned in the same tanneries used by the old British cavalry. The hides go through a lengthy process which in turn gives the leather longevity and a very individual look. Using this method, the leather becomes more supple, durable and gives a richness that will improve and gain more character with age. Each hide varies and therefore the leather may differ slightly on each bag. This makes our bags as individual as we are.  During the tanning process we ensure nothing is wasted and the bi-products go to many good uses.

Canvas

Our bags are made using the finest 100% cotton canvas. We select good quality with a high stitch count for strength and durability. At the same time, we keep the weight to a minimum to ensure the finished bag is not unnecessarily overweight. We treat the canvas with a durable water repelency, this protects the bags from the elements and moisture during everyday use. On the inside we use filler to pad the bags which in turn is lined with a quality polyester to protect the contents of the bag and give a second to none finish.

Accessories

All accessories have been carefully chosen and designed by our craftsmen. Solid brass fittings are designed specially for the bags and custom made. These fittings are extremely strong and have been used in the field for centuries. We use these accessories to give maximum performance and maintain a great classic, timeless look. The zippers are also brass and will not corrode. We use only high quality 2-way zippers again to improve the daily performance of the bags.
